Christy Miller, CRNP

Christy Miller, CRNP, holds dual certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. In April 2025, Christy joined AltaPointe Health at Eastpointe Hospital. She has 17 years of nursing experience, earning an associate’s degree from Faulkner State Community College, Bay Minette, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama, Mobile. She continued her studies, graduating from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa with a master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (ANCC certified) and Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP certified). Since 2018, Christy has been devoted to serving the psychiatric needs of a local correctional facility and was awarded the National Institute of Jail Operations’ Healthcare Professional of the Year award in 2023. Her experience also includes outpatient treatment ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. Before transitioning to a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as an RN in surgical and medical intensive care units and an inpatient geriatric behavioral unit.
