April Douglas joined AltaPointe Health in 2012, bringing with her more than a decade of experience in television journalism. Prior to her role at AltaPointe, she worked as a news anchor and reporter for stations in Florida and Alabama. During her broadcast career, she served as a member of the Capital Press Corps under Florida Governor Jeb Bush and was honored with a flight with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Douglas has been recognized for excellence in her field by the Associated Press, the National Press Photographers Association, the Public Relations Council of Alabama, the Southern Public Relations Federation, and the Alabama Hospital Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Montevallo.
