James B. Harrell, M.D., earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tennessee), majoring in psychology and minoring in history. He earned his medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University (Johnson City, Tennessee), where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Harrell completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Alabama in 1996. He is board certified in pediatrics and has practiced in Mobile for 30 years, including 29 years with Infirmary Pediatrics.

In 2026, Dr. Harrell joined Accordia Health, where he continues his commitment to providing high-quality, personalized care to infants, children and teens. His extensive experience in pediatrics allows him to care for young patients through every stage of growth and development.
