Andrew Maxwell, MD, has joined Accordia Health at the adult outpatient center in the Gordon Smith Drive complex. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and his MD from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Dr. Maxwell completed his residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

During his residency, Dr. Maxwell worked with underserved populations through his involvement in the street medicine residency program in Texas, as well as through medical trips and additional studies abroad in parts of South America and Africa. He plans to continue this passion for caring for the underserved by assisting the homeless outreach and crisis response teams at AltaPointe. 

Dr. Maxwell is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
