AltaPointe Health operates two free-standing psychiatric hospitals as part of its comprehensive behavioral healthcare system in Alabama. EastPointe Hospital, located in Daphne, offers 24-hour psychiatric crisis stabilization care for adults and children, with treatment designed to manage symptoms, support safety, and help patients transition to less restrictive care. BayPointe Hospital, located in west Mobile, provides inpatient, residential, and day treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing psychiatric crises, focusing on stabilization and recovery. Both hospitals are licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health, which authorizes them to operate as inpatient psychiatric facilities in the state. They also maintain accreditation from The Joint Commission, a national independent health care quality organization that reviews performance against established standards. Additionally, aspects of AltaPointe’s broader behavioral health services are certified and monitored by the Alabama Department of Mental Health, as well as other state and federal planning and certification programs.
