Access to Care
- Calls are answered 24/7, including holidays.
- Calls are answered by trained specialists with experience in crisis and behavioral health.
- Callers will be asked a series of questions about their current mental health, substance use, or emotional state to assess immediate level of need.
- If the caller is in crisis, the staff will assess current risk level and offer/ facilitate appropriate crisis services with the caller’s consent. This may include dispatching a mobile crisis team, coordinating crisis center observation, or facilitating a psychiatric hospital screening for admission.
- If the caller is seeking to establish outpatient services, the Access to Care team will complete a brief screening for appropriate scheduling at the nearest AltaPointe facility or partner location.
