Year in Review 2024

As we reflect on Fiscal Year 2024, AltaPointe Health continues to evolve to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve. Our commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible behavioral and primary health care remains steadfast, and this annual report demonstrates our progress.

One of our most transformative achievements this year has been our expansion of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). AltaPointe was one of only two providers in the state selected to implement this model of care. The CCBHC model allows us to enhance access, improve care coordination, and integrate mental health and substance use services for individuals across our seven counties. By embracing the CCBHC framework, AltaPointe has strengthened crisis response, expanded evidence-based treatments, and ensured more people receive comprehensive, person-centered care.

Our growth in primary care services has been instrumental in advancing whole person health. Through our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) we have expanded preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness programs, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs. By bridging the gap between mental health and primary care, we continue to improve health outcomes for thousands of patients.

We continue strengthening our partnerships with law enforcement to enhance their ability to respond effectively to mental health crises. Through innovative programs such as virtual reality training, equipping officers with iPads, and co-response initiatives, we are helping law enforcement de-escalate situations, recognize mental health symptoms, and connect individuals to appropriate care— prioritizing treatment over incarceration.

At the close of FY 2024, AltaPointe Health expanded its Behavioral Health Crisis Center with the opening of a dedicated six-bed, medically-managed substance withdrawal unit. This significant addition enhances our ability to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and seeking recovery support. Developed in response to the rising prevalence of fentanyl use both locally and nationwide, as well as the increase in alcohol use disorder since the pandemic, this unit reinforces our commitment to addressing the evolving needs of our community.

These accomplishments, along with those of our dedicated staff, reaffirm our mission of improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. We are proud of the strides made in access, quality, and innovation and remain committed to ensuring that all individuals receive the care and support they need.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership in our mission. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of so many.
