AltaPointe believes that a capable person with psychiatric disabilities has the right to live in his or her own home without the impediment of special rules or service requirements. Supported Housing is a permanent housing program that helps patients integrate into the community by obtaining and maintaining a home that is safe and affordable. Patients recommended for Supported Housing have basic living skills such as the ability to cook for themselves, clean their living space and maintain their personal hygiene. AltaPointe case managers may visit the apartment or home for monitoring or specific living skills training, but the patients receive voluntary therapy and physician services at an AltaPointe outpatient clinic.
