After School Day Treatment

BayPointe Hospital offers After School Day Treatment to elementary, middle and high school students in a therapeutic environment and structured setting. After school day treatment is for students who need additional support outside of the classroom. Through daily, intensive clinical intervention, its goal is to help each child succeed in their school and their community. The program takes place Monday – Thursday in the afternoon, snacks and dinner are provided to participants.

Criteria for the program include:

  • Attention-seeking
  • Hyperactivity
  • Temper-tantrums
  • Poor social skills
  • Poor self-control
  • Withdrawal/depression/anxiety
  • Minimum IQ of 70

Services include:

  • Psychiatric assessment
  • Medication management
  • Homework and tutoring
  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Cooperative skills training
  • Basic living skills training
  • Activity therapy
  • Case management services
