Miriam Sevilla

Dr. Sevilla Saez-Benito completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) where she was chief resident during her senior year of training. Prior to her graduation, she worked as a moonlighter at the Alabama Department of Mental Health unit at UAB treating severe psychiatric conditions in the adolescent population and the outpatient clinic at Capitol Care South in Irondale, Ala. Sevilla Saez-Benito joined the UAB/Children’s Hospital faculty after her graduation in July 2010 where she was involved in the academic teaching of medical students, adult psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows. Her professional interests include the development of psychiatry resources and education for the Hispanic population. Sevilla Saez-Benito is an assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
