Jeff Barker joined AltaPointe Health in 2013 and cares for children and adolescents at BayView Professional Associates in Fairhope. Previously, he worked in Mobile, Sylacauga, Talladega, Randolph, and Clay Counties and inpatient services at EastPointe and BayPointe Hospitals. Barker earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of South Alabama. He holds a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communications from Lamar University. He has worked across AltaPointe’s continuum of care, including as weekend house supervisor at EastPointe Hospital and nursing coordinator at BayPointe Hospital. Barker is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Barker spent nine years working as a television news anchor and reporter before his career in mental health.
