Jeanette Mortara, CRNP, earned master’s and bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of South Alabama College of Nursing. She specializes in and is certified as a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. Mortara also holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Jefferson Davis Community College. She has experience working in the nurse practitioner role performing in-home medical examinations (360 assessments) for a Medicare Advantage program. Mortara is involved in local, state and national policy-making advocating the nurse practitioner role and standards of care. In October 2013, she attended the American Psychiatric Nurse Association conference in San Antonio, Texas. Before coming to AltaPointe, Mortara practiced at Baldwin County Mental Health, Complexcare Solutions, Senior Home Care and Baptist Healthcare, all in the behavioral healthcare spectrum. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Holy Spirit Parish Nurse Ministry.
