Gil Laden has been practicing law since 1977, first as a staff attorney with Georgia Legal Services, and then in Mobile since 1980 in private practice. He is board-certified in Social Security Disability Law. He was selected as Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in 2007 by the Alabama State Bar. He has served as board president of the Mobile Preschool for the Sensory Impaired, Springhill Avenue Temple, Dumas Wesley Community Center, Volunteer Lawyers Program, and Mobile Arc. He currently serves as board president of the Mobile Arc Foundation. He obtained his B.A. in Chemistry from Emory University and J.D. from Mercer University.
