Children’s mental health is a priority for AltaPointe. We provide services to more than 10,500 children each year across seven counties in Alabama.
The exact cause of most mental illnesses is not known, but research suggests that a combination of factors, including heredity, biology, psychological trauma, and environmental stress, may be involved. To maintain basic mental health and wellness, AltaPointe’s professionals believe that children need unconditional love from their caregivers, opportunities to play and explore, teachers that encourage, appropriate instruction and boundaries, and praise.
Call AltaPointe’s access-to-care call center, at (251) 450-2211 or (888) 335-30414 to schedule an appointment. After an initial phone call, AltaPointe may schedule appointments within ten workdays for routine care, within 24 hours in case of emergencies and within one hour in case of a crisis.
