LeMoyne School — Classroom & Day Treatment Services
The LeMoyne School is a classroom and day treatment program held developed to meet the educational and therapeutic needs of severely emotionally disturbed students 6 to 18 years of age. These students are unable to maintain appropriate behaviors in the Mobile County Public School setting.
Admission requires a written psychiatric diagnosis and a referral through the Mobile County Public School System. A child/adolescent must manifest a combination of at least three criteria whose severity could prevent treatment in a less restrictive environment.
LeMoyne School also offers an 8- to 10-week day treatment program during the summer months without an educational component. The Mobile County Public School System provides qualified teachers and funds the program. The program is housed at BayPointe.
