Jail Diversion
This program seeks to reduce the number of mentally ill adults in the Mobile County Metro Jail. AltaPointe identifies and assesses those incarcerated and collaborates with the criminal justice system to prevent their further involvement in the criminal justice system. Other objectives include minimizing their time incarcerated, engaging mentally ill offenders in treatment at the earliest opportunity and providing continuity of care and supportive services as they leave the corrections system and reenter the community. |
